About the School
What the School teaches.
The School of Functional & Integrative Medicine teaches the root-cause tradition of health practice. Its five colleges hold the University's work in functional and integrative medicine, natural medicine and the healing arts, nutritional science and metabolic health, longevity science, and environmental health — the disciplines a practitioner draws on when she reads a case as a whole system rather than a list of symptoms.
Its students are most often health coaches, nurses and wellness professionals who want their root-cause work placed on an examined footing. Every programme in the school is offered at six credential levels, from the Accelerated Foundation Credential to the Fellow Practice Diploma; each level is earned by examination and entered in the University's public register.
