Students must respect the intellectual property of others, including course materials, peer submissions, and published research.
Responsibility
Students are responsible for understanding and adhering to academic integrity standards throughout their program.
What Constitutes a Violation
- Plagiarism — submitting another's work as your own
- Fabrication — falsifying data, citations, or credential claims
- Cheating — unauthorized assistance on assessments
- Collusion — unauthorized collaboration on individual assignments
- Multiple submission — reusing work across programs without authorization
Consequences
Violations of academic integrity may result in:
- Written warning for first minor offenses
- Assignment resubmission with grade penalty
- Program suspension for serious or repeated violations
- Credential revocation in cases of fraudulent representation
All alleged violations are reviewed through a fair and transparent process. Students have the right to respond to allegations before any action is taken.
