Dear Practitioner, Nurse, or Health Advocate,

It was 7:15 PM on a Tuesday. I had just walked through the front door of my home after a grueling 14-hour shift in the hospital. My scrubs were wrinkled, my feet were throbbing, and I was holding a lukewarm cup of coffee I hadn't had time to drink.

I collapsed onto the kitchen chair in sheer exhaustion. In the hospital wards that day, I had seen patient after patient trapped in the same tragic cycle: a 42-year-old mother suffering from debilitating brain fog, joint pain, and thyroid exhaustion, handed an antidepressant and a statin. A 35-year-old executive crippled by severe gut spasms, handed an acid-blocker. A young woman battling unexplained autoimmune flares, handed heavy immunosuppressant steroids.

I looked down at my hands and began to weep into my scrubs.

The agonizing paradox: In the hospital, I was a respected physician and nurse. Senior doctors trusted my clinical judgment. Nurses asked me for dosage protocols. But in conventional 7-minute clinical medicine, none of my medical textbooks were healing these patients. We were suppressing symptoms while completely ignoring the root causes.

When patients pleaded for answers to why their bodies were breaking down, senior specialists would say: "Dr. Piñol, their lab values are technically in normal range. You need to adjust your expectations. Chronic inflammation and metabolic fatigue are just part of aging. Write the refill, take them off your desk, and accept it."

Accept it? Trap human beings on a lifelong prescription treadmill because modern medicine doesn't have time to look at the gut microbiome, cellular bioenergetics, and endocrine disruption?

I walked out of that hospital unit that evening and made an unshakeable vow: I would either uncover the authentic root-cause clinical answers or I would build them myself.
